Founder and Chair, Board of Directors, Wibena Impact, a non-governmental organization locally registered under Rwandan laws. He also founded Wibena Institute, an executive premier training Institute (WI), an approved exam center for TEF Canada, TCF, LanguageCert ESOL, SELT. He is a dynamic, enthusiastic, resourceful and result oriented person with strong understanding of general rules used in Education, Administration, and coaching practice. An articulate qualified serial entrepreneur, IELTS &TOEFL Trainer, Leadership and Management expert who is able to effectively communicate with students from diverse background or varying degrees of ability.

He is proficient in developing and implementing successful work plans and monitoring and evaluation procedures. He believes in effectiveness and team building to ensure that duties are fulfilled efficiently and effectively beyond what is required and work in an organization that allows for personal development. He has over ten years’ work experience in both the public and private sector, specifically in education, administration, and project management.

Mr. Wycliffe has previously occupied different positions and before his venture into entrepreneurship world, He was ESOL Coach at Institute of Capacity Building (ICB, MKU) and also served as the Principal at Premier Teachers College, where he hosted the First Lady of the Republic of Rwanda for the first Early Childhood Teachers’ graduation as the Chief Guest, He has proven abilities in strategic thinking, leadership, event planning, and problem-solving in serious and fast-paced environments that has seen tremendous growth of Wibena Institute and Impact respectively.

Thomas Plura

Executive Director
Thomas Plura is currently the Executive Director of Wibena Impact and doubling as an IT Expert & German Instructor with the Wibena Group leading the teams, streamline the internal processes and establish a scalable infrastructure. He is an IT specialist, German & English teacher/interpreter, has more than 7 years’ experience in the tourism industry and even longer in Business administration and management.

He was the lead IT specialist at Payback in Munich, Germany, certified Tour Guide at Rightway Travel & Tourism in Dubai and General Manager for the Ocean Sky Group of Companies Dubai. Some of his work in the various fields has been published in DailyMail UK, c’t (Magazin fuer Computertechnik) and PC-Magazin.

He is certified in Retail Sales, IT-Service & Support, IT Infrastructure Administration, Operating Systems and Hardware, Graphic Design, Web Design and Cybersecurity. Besides the field of IT, he holds certification in International Business Management and Administration (MBA), English / German language teaching and interpretation and Self-Défense. He gathered several years of experience as language teacher in various volunteer positions in different countries and on-the-job training at language schools and centers including the Goethe Institut among others.

Marie Josée NDAYIZIGIYE

Marie Josée NDAYIZIGIYE

She is  a graduate with a Bachelor Degree in Information Management from Adventist University of Central Africa. She was in youth education for five years, she has over ten years of experience in commercial business, she also has significant experience in the Insurance industry where she was the Bank Insurance and Micro Insurance Manager.

She is passionate about implementing intervention in both family, community and health system, against sexual and gender based violence and child marriage in a bid to promote public health. She is very passionate about talent management and personal development and believes in unlocking the potential of people.

Marie Josee is a champion for women, inclusive social economic transformation and eradication of unfavorable cultural practices. Because of her passion to transform Africa through women, in March 2020 she has been appointed as the TWOW Representative for Rwanda where she represents women’s voice.

Rene Yves UWAYO

Rene Yves UWAYO

Regional Programs Manager
UWAYO is the former East African Community Deputy Youth Ambassador to Rwanda. He is a renowned public speaker, Analyst, mentor and trainer. Through Ascendance Rwanda, he worked with “Imbuto Foundation” to groom a new generation of leaders and communicators at the university of Rwanda – College of Education.

UWAYO is as well a passionate activist, he has co-founded an organization named “Genesis Initiative” that advocates for women empowerment among others. He represented Rwanda in the “A greener Africa: Youth and climate change” forum that took place in Niamey from the 7th to the 8th of July 2019.  He works with an organization called “RSC Africa” that partners with UNHCR to provide a safe space for refugees. UWAYO is a proud defender and activist for ideals of freedom and liberty, he is a local coordinator of “Students For Liberty”.

UWAYO is also an adjudicator with Aspire Debate Rwanda. He was the Deputy Chief Adjudicator of the East African University Debate Champion 2019, held in Nairobi. He is a Model African union fellow. He, as well, was elected a Youlead Ambassador and East African Youth Parliamentarian. He is currently the Regional Programs Manager for Wibena Impact.

Eric Muhindi Robert

Chief Operations Officer
Mr. Eric Muhindi Robert is an experienced manager with 9 years experience in project/program management and administration in both the Public Service as well as the Humanitarian and Development sector. Mr. Muhindi has been responsible for resource mobilization, coordination and successful implementation of projects and formulation of policy documents such as; Communication Strategy, Strategic Plans and Information Management systems that seeks to improve business processes. Through his professional experience and volunteerism he has been able to mentor and work with a host of Youth and Women and other vulnerable persons from marginalized groups and communities from across Eastern Africa with an aim to improve their dignity and livelihoods.
Maaike van Beek

Maaike van Beek

Head of Programs
Maaike van Beek is an enthusiastic and driven Social Worker from the Netherlands. Maaike has been working for Wibena Impact as Head of Program since December 2020.

She graduated from University Utrecht the Netherlands in 2016 and obtained her bachelor degree in Social Work and Services. She has already various work experience in the Netherlands. She has work experience at a primary school, in event management, with children and young peoples with disabilities and the last two years in the position of a team manager.

Mercy Kalekye

Mercy Kalekye

Events Manager
She is currently working with the Wibena Institute and Wibena Impact as the Deputy Principal and Event Manager respectively. Kalekye is a literature enthusiast, an event organizer, a lover of youth, a human rights advocate, and a social inclusion champion. She believes that “The youth of Africa carry the flame of hope as the agents of change in the continent” as a result, they should be accorded with opportunities to showcase their abilities and gifts.

She is well presented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an economic approach to solving problems and the ability to stay within approved budgets, schedules and achieve goals.

As an event organizer, she has successfully organized cultural exchange programs for artists across the East African region for events like Ubumuntu Arts Festival 2019, Spoken word Rwanda 2018 & 2019 and the Transpoesis. Out of this she has acquired an extensive knowledge of the East Africa art scene.

She has also worked with the Afflatus Africa group in planning and organizing the Reading for Change project. She holds Bachelor’s degree in Education (Literature major). She has greatly been involved in theatre performance and worked with Contact TV as a host of talk show, MindLab.

Kalinda Umutoni Nadine

Administration Manager
Nadine Is a child of God who loves to serve her God and the community.  She finds great pleasure in making the world a better place; by assisting others and being part of shaping the world for the better. She is currently an administrative manager at Wibena Impact.

She graduated in the United States of America in December 2016 with a bachelor degree of Arts in Biology and Psychology. During her school year, she has always loved engaging herself in Humanitarian activities with organizations such as; Red Cross and Habitat for Humanity. She has been in working since 2013 in different areas but mostly in the healthcare field. She worked with Doctors as a scribe at St Luke’s Hospital in the USA; as an assistant for Substance Abuse Counselor with Youth and Adults in the USA. She also worked at Autism Rwanda, as a teacher for Autistic Children.

Her mission in life is to make an impact on earth by bringing positivity and light to as many people by contributing to the creation of solutions of the challenging issues the World is faced with.
